MYHALIHALI is the creative vision of a husband and wife team, the product of a shared passion for the unique, the exceptional and the capacity to inspire.
We are Christian from Paris and Jaleela from Honolulu. Our story brings together a range of cultures and influences, tied together by the common thread of mindfully traditional values – above all, old-fashioned hard work and tenacious discipline.
Our story has its origins in Japan in the early '90s, meeting as university students, each drawn from a different corner of the world, studying in a country that inspired us with its culture and aesthetics. The experiences gained and cultural influences to this day continue to directly shape our approach to work and life.
We believe that the process of creation is as important as the end result, and place a strong emphasis on thoughtfully crafted items and attention to detail. From a museum piece to a hidden treasure unearthed in a vintage store, meaning resides in the story – the ability to connect by reflecting beauty and inspiring creativity.
For this reason, our inspiration is diverse, ranging from art, meandering hours in bookshops and long strolls spent absorbing the sights and sounds of the different cities we've both lived in and visited around the world.
We arrived in Sydney in 2008 with our two young children, brought here initially by a career opportunity, and along the way a number of new opportunities have emerged. It is a path that has led to MYHALIHALI – established to broaden the scope of choices in the Australian furniture, homewares and apparel market.
Our expertise complements our inspiration, being firmly grounded in luxury goods, distribution, travel, media and event production.

Variations in product
Many of our products are artisan crafted. Given their handmade and hand finished nature, variations are to be expected and embraced. Each item is unique and no two will look the same. These variations are not indicative of a damaged or faulty item.
Leads times & custom orders
Lead times may range from three to 14 weeks, dependent upon individual order. Please contact MYHALIHALI for further information.
Custom orders are submitted for production immediately upon order placement and are built to your specifications. A non-refundable 50% deposit will be taken when the order is placed; the remaining 50% will be charged when your order ships. If you choose to cancel your special order item(s) prior to delivery, your 50% deposit will not be refunded.
Delivery & ship-to address
We can organize a quote and facilitate delivery to any Australian address. Please inquire for shipping and delivery outside of Australia. It is your responsibility to ensure that all furniture items will fit through any access points such as doorways, stairways, hallways, elevators and around corners into the desired location.
It is your responsibility to ensure that all ship-to address information is correct. This is particularly important if you have multiple residences.
We believe in our products 100%. We work with some of the best artisans and factories in the world, as well as select partners we believe to be unique in the marketplace. We’re confident that the design details, quality and safety of our merchandise will meet, if not exceed, your expectations. We care about your satisfaction and our Customer Care Teams are always here to help.
All items should be inspected carefully before signature acknowledgement upon delivery. Please be aware we do not issue refunds or exchanges for change of mind.
Only faulty or damaged goods may be returned and are subject to authorization at MYHALIHALI’s discretion. All claims for damage or fault must be made within 48 hours of receipt of merchandise. Digital photographs must be submitted with all claims.
We regret that we are not able to cancel orders for in-stock merchandise once they have been transmitted to our fulfillment center. Please note that a restocking fee of up to 25% of the product price may be charged. Custom finished items and COM upholstery pieces are made to order especially for you and can only be cancelled within 24 hours of order placement. We do not accept returns on these items. Custom upholstery includes sofas, chairs, tables, poufs and ottomans. Finished items include all custom colour designs.
